Technology Enrichment Training

Technology Enrichment Training is a five-day program for participants interested in learning about careers in technology-based fields.  Most activity is hands-on and students focus on a technology project.  The students will have a better understanding of their education and the many opportunities that they have after finishing school.

Core Lab: Students spend 15 hours during the week learning about opportunities in the field they are most interested in.  Students participate in a group project to help focus on their field of interest.  The core labs offered in the 2003 Technology Enrichment Training program were Communications, Culinary Arts, Fire & Rescue, Robotics, and Drafting.

Exploratory Lab: Students are introduced to a variety of technical careers by participating in these labs.  The exploratory labs offered in 2003 included Horticulture, First Aid, Fingerprinting, and Photography.

Field trip: One day during the week, the core lab takes a field trip to learn about the kind of conditions professionals in their field work under.

At the end of the week each core lab presents their core lab project!

Students in the Fire & Rescue Lab get to use the fire hose!
