Job Opportunities

People Incorporated has a summer program for teenagers that allows them to gain work experience. Students learn responsibility and people-skills.

Students start work when they get out of school for the summer. Students work 30 hours a week for 4 days a week. On the fifth day, student an Academic Enrichment class. This day prepares them to do better in school.

There are many places that the students can work. For example, some students work at the Boys and Girls Club, Girls Inc., Bristol Public Library, John Battle High School, Wallace Middle School, and the William N. Neff Center in Abingdon. Some job skills include maintenance, child care, and office skills.

The workers at People Incorporated help students and see how they progress over the summer. They really care about how the students are doing.
