Head Start's program for pre-school children promotes social development as well as education. The program provides health and nutrition services, direct social services, and referrals to other agencies for the whole family. Transportation is provided to the centers for classes during the regular school year.

Throughout Washington County, Russell County, and the City of Bristol, VA.

Eligibility/Income Guidelines
Families with a three or four year-old child. Eligible children must be three before September 30th of that school year. Home eligibility based on OMB Poverty guidelines.

Priorities
Children with disabilities. We also serve children with family members that are employed or furthering their education.

Waiting Period
Applications are accepted throughout the year. However, main recruiting efforts are in February, in preparation for starting the program each fall.
