CDA Consultant

People Incorporated of Southwest Virginia is now accepting applications for a CDA Consultant. This is a part time as needed position. Registered Nurse

People Incorporated seeks a registered nurse to work three eight-hour days a week to provide case-management services and health-focused home visits to pregnant women and families with children from birth to seven years of age, who are enrolled in the Comprehensive Health Investment Project (CHIP).  Job responsibilities include:  completion of child health assessments, case management of chronic illnesses, promotion of well child care and performance of developmental screenings. The ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with medical providers and other human service agencies’ staff is also required.  The qualified applicant must be able to effectively communicate with clients from varied cultural and socio-economic backgrounds; prioritize work; serve as a member of a team to provide education and services; and travel within Buchanan, Dickenson and Russell Counties to meet with clients.  Additional qualifications include:  possession of basic computer skills, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.  One year experience as a home visitor or in a community-based health program is required. Family Service Worker

These individuals are to provide comprehensive social services to Head Start families.  Individuals would work with other staff members and agency components to provide direct and referral services to families. Individual needed to provide direct educational and comprehensive services to families in a home-visiting setting.  Position is full time and requires a reliable individual who is knowledgeable about pregnancy, childbirth, infant/toddler development and adult learning.  Qualifications include:  Child Development Associate, Family Development Credential within one year of employment, associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, social services, human services or related field preferred, experience working with families from various socio-economic backgrounds, reliable transportation and an excellent driving record.   Position requires daily local travel and occasional evening work.  Benefits are available after completion of initial probationary period. Part-Time Accountant
